It's the 10th annual National Dog Day! We are celebrating by sharing some of our favorite dog videos and photos.
National Dog Day founder Colleen Paige says shestarted a day for dogs "for their endearing patience, unquestioning loyalty, for their work protecting our streets, homes and families as Police K-9's, Military Working Dogs, Guide Dogs and Therapy Dogs." Long-jumping dogs compete in a dock diving contest:
More than 150 dogs made a splash at Stone Mountain Park near Atlanta, competing to qualify for the "Dock Dogs" World Championship. The dogs run down a platform and leap into the 40 foot pool. They are judged on distance, height, and speed. VPC
