Lacy Faddoul may have gotten off on the wrong foot with Bachelor in Paradise audiences for her inability to do basic arithmetic and her need to make her mark on the menfolk's eye sockets, but the California girl has slowly won us over as she blisses out with Marcus Grodd and focuses more on making eyes than making a splash. The Juan Pablo Galavis eliminee has proven herself to be sweet and actually pretty insightful, so it’s telling that she senses a predator in August 25 newcomer Jesse Kovacs.

During Jesse’s arrival on Monday night’s show, Lacy tweeted “Biggest #BachelorInParadise shark arrives @JesseAKovacs.” The guy has some other pretty big sharks to compete with in Paradise —Chris Bukowski and Kalon McMahon — so we’re curious to see what antics he’s going to pull to earn himself the Jaws moniker.

Right off the bat he raised our red flags a bit when he said he wanted to go on a date with every woman in Tulum and that he was thinking more about strategy than anything else. When Jackie Parr straight up asked if he wanted a date with her because he liked her or because he wanted a rose, bro could barely keep a straight face during his non answer that he liked her energy of “availability.”

Still, Jesse is a bit of an enigma to us. Despite the rep that seems to have preceded him — Sarah Herronsaid he’s a known “playboy” and Lacy said “let’s just admit it: he’s coming here to play” — back when we first met him on Jillian Harris’s season of The Bachelorette, he seemed sweet. He certainly won Jilly over, almost making it into her top four!

Obviously Lacy was in Tulum with him and knows something we don’t, which means we’re looking forward to tonight’s episode more than ever!
