Islamabad- Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif today presided over a high level meeting in Islamabad to discuss current situation in the country especially in Islamabad.

Federal ministers Chaudhry Nisar Ali, Saad Rafique and Pervaiz Rashid also attended the meeting. According to sources, last night violence in Islamabad was also presented in the meeting that disused future course of action to normalize the situation. The meeting also reviewed Javed Hashmi’s disclosures about Imran Khan, sources said.

At least three persons were killed and around 500 people have been wounded in clashes between police and protesters in Pakistan’s capital Islamabad, hospital officials said today, as a fortnight-long political impasse took a violent turn.

The violence, which began late Saturday and continued early Sunday, erupted after around 25,000 people marched from parliament to the prime minister’s house, where some attempted to remove barricades around it with cranes.
