Manchester United’s Jonny Evans panned after another mistake nearly gifts Burnley opener

Jonny Evans isn’t proving a very popular figure among Manchester United fans at the moment and after a succession of errors already this season, it’s not difficult to see why.

Having gifted MK Dons their opening goal in Tuesday’s 4-0 thumping in the League Cup, Evans has goalkeeper David De Gea to thank for saving him from being at fault for another goal at Burnley today.

The defender’s sloppy back-pass was collected by Lukas Jutkiewicz, but De Gea mopped up the danger.

However, the error didn’t go unnoticed by Man United fans who were quick to criticise the under-fire Evans.
