Cerati, one of the most important and influential figures of Ibero-American rock, died Thursday after four years in a coma caused by a brain aneurysm.

The world lost a musical icon today with the death of Argentine singer, songwriter and unequaled rocker Gustavo Cerati. Cerati died at 55 after spending four years in a coma due to a brain aneurysm.
We, like so many others, are devastated by the loss, but thankfully Cerati’s legend lives on in the diverse music he and his colleagues created.
